I stumbled on this at a Borders, it looks to be an import. The back of it says...
"Nanny Ogg one of the Discworld's most famous itches, is passing on some of her huge collection of tasty and above all Interesting

Re: Nanny Ogg's Cookbook..
Tue, October 24, 2006 - 5:00 PMoops...hit return too soon......
."..passing on some of her huge collection of tasty and above all interesting recipes, since everyone else is doing it. But in addition to the delights of the Strawberry Wobbler and Nobby's Mum's Distressed Pudding, Mrs. Ogg imparts her thoughts on life, death, etiquette ('If you go to other people's funerals they'll be sure to come to yours'), courtship, children and weddings, all lin a refined style that should not offend the most delicat of sensibilities. Well, not much. Most of the recipes have been tried out on people who are still alive"
It has a few chuckles as well as a few "EEEEEWWWWWA" in it. -

Re: Nanny Ogg's Cookbook..
Tue, October 24, 2006 - 5:38 PMI've had it for about a year--there's some great stuff in it! Not, IMO, as good as the novels, but it's a necessary part of my collection.
My fave is probably the Librarian's recipe for Bananananas.

Re: Nanny Ogg's Cookbook..
Tue, October 24, 2006 - 8:16 PMI got this on a trip to the UK.
The Patricians Recipe for Bread and Water is worth the price of the trip, all by itself.

Re: Nanny Ogg's Cookbook..
Wed, October 25, 2006 - 4:23 PMThe hardcover is a UK import. If you saw a paperback version, it's probably a US version.
That said, some Borders do get imports from time to time. You just pay through the nose for them. -

Thu, October 26, 2006 - 7:35 AMI have this too, and it's so damn funny. Can't imagine trying any of the recipes, though (suet, ick). I would love to see an "uncensored" version someday. -

Re: Nanny Ogg's Cookbook..
Wed, March 7, 2007 - 4:05 PMI've tried one of the recipes. Rat Pizza was a huge hit a couple of Halloweens ago. Tasty, too! Once I've translated the recipe from English to Amurikan, they mostly appear to be normal, valid recipes that have just been . . . Ogged.
